Description
Use this fun resource to inspire your Textiles students to design a team uniform for athletes competing at the Commonwealth Games!
Students are encouraged to generate ideas for uniform designs by illustrating on fashion croquis. They can then answer a series of questions in the corresponding worksheet which will prompt students to consider the elements of their design more thoroughly.
Not only does this resource give students the opportunity to design apparel, it also presents them with a chance to practise their short answer responses to NESA key words.
Also included in this resource is a lesson plan with teacher instructions which provides suggestions for use in the classroom.
Design a Commonwealth Games Uniform has been designed for Stage 5 students studying Textiles Technology, however, it can be used with students from a range of stages and learning levels.
Pack includes:
- 1 x 5-page Design a Commonwealth Games Uniform worksheet (PDF).
- Extra fashion croquis.
- Lesson plan with teacher instructions.

I used this lesson for minimal supervision. The students used prior knowledge to complete the activities independantly. A variety of questions and drawing broke up the lesson, so that students had variety in their learning.
