These editable, digital slides are the perfect time saver for you if you use Math Rotations, in your classroom. The positives of Math a Day rotations is that it helps develop independence, stamina, and accountability.

You can display your math rotation schedule for you and your students on your interactive board. In a few minutes, you can set up your Math rotations for the week, fortnight, month or even the term! This gives you back some time, time which you can spend on the most important thing – yourself and your students!

 

What’s included:

*Teacher PowerPoint– -please ensure that you have the software to open it. Make sure that you duplicate each slide if you need another copy of the slide. (You MUST BE in EDIT mode to write on the slides.)

*Group PowerPoints for 3 in a group, 4 in a group, and 5 in a group,

*A PDF with a link for the Folder PowerPoint Timers– -please ensure that you have the software to open it.

 

The Math a Day PowerPoint has been divided with various slides for the 5 different stations that you can use for your math rotations: –

*Math a Day- Teacher Time- (Introduce a new game or project that they will work on in Math with Someone, targeted learning for students etc)

*Math a Day– Writing – (math problem or concept through pictures, numbers, and words

Journal –word problems/problem of the day, math word problems etc)

*Math a Day– My Buddy and Me

*Math a Day– Hands On

*Math a Day– Independent Me

Just draw a text box and give your students instructions for what they will be doing in those rotations. You can even take a screen shot or photo of the worksheet, activity, etc and add to them.

On some of the slides there is a 10-minute timer embedded. Each timer has 5 seconds at the beginning to ensure that students have everything that they need for their rotation. Once the timer reaches 0, it plays music so that students know that it is time to move to the next rotation. Just hit the timer to start again.

The 1st set of 5 slides have a 10-minute timer, a reminder of how they will work during the math time and a voice level monitor. Just draw a text box and give your students instructions for what they will be doing in those rotations. You can even take a screen shot or photo of the worksheet, activity, etc and add to them. I have included an example of what that might look like for you.

All headings are locked and cannot be edited.

The 2nd set of 5 slides have a 10-minute timer and also editable boxes where you can type the students name in and drag over to the activity that they will be doing. Just draw a text box and give your students instructions for what they will be doing in those rotations. You can even take a screen shot or photo of the worksheet, activity, etc and add to them. Then add students names to the activity. I have included an example of what that might look like for you. All headings are locked and cannot be edited. Boxes for student names are editable.

The 5th set of 5 slides are group slides where you can give the group a name and add students names. I have included an example of what that might look like for you. All headings are locked and cannot be edited.

The 6th set of 5 slides are group slides where you can give instructions of what that activity might look like. All headings are locked and cannot be edited.

The last set of 5 slides are the names of the groups if you would like to have them around the room for where the activities will take place. All headings are locked and cannot be edited.

 

Group PowerPoint Rotations

Depending on the needs of your class there are also group PowerPoints. There are PowerPoints for:-

3 groups– 2 rounds, 3 round, 4 rounds and 5 rounds

4 groups– 2 rounds, 3 round, 4 rounds and 5 rounds

5 groups– 2 rounds, 3 round, 4 rounds and 5 rounds

 

Timers

Each slide has a 10-minute timer, a reminder of how they will work during the math time and also a voice level monitor.

There is a folder with 5-minute, 7-minute, 15 minute and 20-minute timers so you can swap them to suit the needs of your students.
