Life Skills students can explore the different types of menus available at food service and catering businesses with this fun and engaging resource!
Students can use the PowerPoint presentation to learn about 6 different types of food service and catering operations including à la carte, cafés and food trucks, as well as the menus and foods they offer. Students can then complete the worksheet which asks them to explore the different types of menus they have just learnt about. The worksheet provides them with an opportunity to learn real-world menu reading skills.
Also included in this resource is a lesson plan with teacher instructions to make implementing this resource in the classroom as simple as possible.
This resource has been designed for the Life Skills Food Service and Catering focus area of the NSW NESA Food Technology Years 7-10 Syllabus, however it can be used with students from a range of stages and learning levels.
