Description

This course provides teachers with a real-world design challenge to develop their design thinking skills and understanding of designing sustainable products.
Teachers will learn about sustainable design practices and the interdependence of systems when designing. In particular, they will learn how environmental conditions, such as thermal comfort and indoor air quality, can influence student learning outcomes and their overall wellbeing.

They will also learn how to use this knowledge and design thinking frameworks to support their ability to create authentic sustainable design projects for their students.

Focusing on innovation, sustainability and design and production processes this course is structured to provide a repeatable integrated framework that can be used to meet student outcomes from the areas of Science and Technology and Mandatory Technology.
