Completing Online Technology Mandatory – Agriculture and Food Technologies before 31 July 2021 under NESA’s interim arrangements will contribute 5 hours of NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) Accredited PD in the priority area of Delivery and assessment of NSW Curriculum addressing standard descriptors 2.1.2 and 6.2.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.

Design and Technologies
Students can learn about the characteristics and properties of twelve different fabrics through a PowerPoint. The PowerPoint contains information on traditional and contemporary textiles, characteristics, and properties of each fabric and typical end uses.
Students can record notes on the included worksheet.
To test their knowledge in a kinaesthetic manner students will Blu-tack the corresponding ‘Instagram comment’ to the ‘Insta-Match’ poster of the textile in its natural form.
This reinforces students’ knowledge of characteristics and properties of fabric which is relevant syllabus content in Stage 4 and Stage 5 Textiles.
