Life Skills students can learn about the impact of technology on the design and production of textiles items with this wonderful resource!
Students view the PowerPoint where they can find out about computerised sewing machines, CAD systems, 3D body scanners and laser cutters. They can then complete the corresponding worksheet which includes questions and fun activities related to the PowerPoint information.
Also included in this resource is a lesson plan with teacher instructions which assists in implementing this resource in the classroom.
This resource has been designed to meet syllabus dot points from the Life Skills Textiles and Society area of study of the NSW NESA Textiles Technology syllabus, however it can be used with students across a range of learning levels.
