Food Chronicles is a timeline activity that students in learning the significance of food throughout history. This PowerPoint presentation allows teachers to show students a range of foods from 5500BC to now.
Teachers use the timeline PowerPoint as a prompt for whole-class discussion with students. Students can take notes and record the order of the foods. The PowerPoint slides can be used as a starting point for further student research.
If you have attended Captivate Year 10 Food Technology students may like to use this PowerPoint to complete pages 4,5,6 of their Countdown student work booklet.
There is also a four-page worksheet digitally included that students can complete in relation to this timeline activity.
Please note that students will need access to the internet to complete some questions in the worksheets.
Additionally, there are two “brain stretch” questions that you can use as extension options for your students at your discretion.
