Description
Celebrate St Patrick’s Day while building students’ critical thinking and perspective-taking skills with this engaging Lucky or Unlucky classroom discussion activity.
Students work in pairs to analyse everyday scenarios and decide whether they believe each situation is lucky or unlucky. They then justify their reasoning before exploring a “perspective twist” that may change how the situation is viewed. This encourages students to think more deeply about how experiences, viewpoints and circumstances influence our interpretation of events.
This activity promotes rich classroom discussion and helps students recognise that the same situation can be interpreted differently depending on perspective.
Perfect as a St Patrick’s Day starter, discussion activity, wellbeing lesson, or critical thinking task.
