Goal Setting

Description

This fun activity is designed to get students to set goals they can work towards throughout the year. Students can plan, focus on and work towards goals they value.

Students record a personal goal, a learning goal and a future goal. Once the goals are set, students can then examine them and predict any potential challenges they may face while trying to achieve these goals. They can then use critical and creative thinking strategies to propose ways to minimise the potential challenges they may face.

This activity uses a range of key words that help to promote deep understanding and extension of knowledge for students. It’s also a great task to help teachers determine whether students are meeting Personal and Social Capabilities.

Included in this resource is a lesson plan with teacher instructions to ensure ease of implementation in the classroom.
