Description
Provide your Life Skills students with a fun and engaging resource that helps them to easily understand and communicate changes to food properties as a result of preparation!
Students can use the visual PowerPoint to learn about how a food’s properties change when it is prepared. The PowerPoint features comparative images of the food items before and after preparation and provides students with a basic text-based description to help them better understand what they have seen in the images.
Students can then complete the questions and fun activities in the worksheet which will help to reinforce their new knowledge about changing food properties.
Also included in this resource is a lesson plan with teacher instructions to make implementing this resource in the classroom a breeze!
Communicating Changes to Food Properties has been designed for the Life Skills Food Service and Catering focus area of the NSW NESA Food Technology Years 7-10 Syllabus, however it can be used with students from a range of stages and learning levels.
