A literacy task to help teachers understand their student’s literacy needs.

This resource was created to assist teachers in understanding the literacy capabilities of their students.

This activity is designed to be given to students to complete then the teacher collects the student responses as evidence of the student’s literacy capabilities. Teachers can then determine the literacy needs of their students. This can be a fun and creative activity for students and can be used as an informal assessment of student literacy.

Students choose one of 6 images, then write as much as they can about that subject.
