    This task was created to challenge and engage students studying Textiles, Design and Technology and Art Subjects.

    This pack provides students with 15 engaging PowerPoint slides accompanied with current and relevant information and examples to assist them in understanding and remembering the various elements and principles.

    Students have the opportunity to investigate and find current examples of the elements and principles. This assists students to gain an essential understanding of design elements and principles. There are a range of activities for the students to complete and to extend students critical and creative thinking.

    This is also provided as a word document so teachers can differentiate the task for individual students needs at the discretion of the teacher.

    Pack includes:

    • 15 engaging PowerPoint slides with syllabus content and information.
    • 8-page PDF and Word Document with NSW syllabus links and
      student activities.

      • producing annotated concept sketches and drawings, using: technical terms, scale, symbols, pictorial and aerial views to draw environments; production drawings, orthogonal drawings; patterns and templates to explain design ideas
      • using a variety of critical and creative thinking strategies such as brainstorming, sketching, 3-D modelling and experimenting to generate innovative design ideas
