Use this resource to inspire your Textiles students to design a fun Hawaiian shirt!
Students are encouraged to generate ideas for Hawaiian shirt designs by illustrating on fashion croquis. They can then answer a series of questions in the corresponding worksheet which will prompt students to consider the elements of their design more thoroughly.
Not only does this resource give students the opportunity to design apparel, it also presents them with a chance to practise their short answer responses to NESA key words.
Also included in this resource is a lesson plan with teacher instructions which provides suggestions for use in the classroom and extra croquis for fast finishing students.
Hawaiian Shirt Designer has been created for Stage 5 students studying Textiles Technology, however, it can be used with students from a range of stages and learning levels.
- 1 x 5-page Hawaiian Shirt Designer worksheet (PDF).
- Extra fashion croquis.
- Lesson plan with teacher instructions.

A great design project and students enjoyed the challenge. A mini design brief for those needing extending and great to leave when I was away.
