Description
Life Skills students can learn to identify the fibres, yarns and fabrics that are used for specific textile items with this fun and engaging resource.
This resource pack includes a 4-page worksheet where students learn about the benefits of using cotton fibre, waterproof fabrics, elastane fibre and non-woven fabrics. They are then encouraged to identify which textile items are best suited to those fibres and fabrics. Also included in this pack is a lesson plan to help make implementing this resource as simple as possible.
This resource has been designed to meet outcomes and syllabus dot points from the Life Skills Properties and Performance of Textiles area of study of the NSW NESA Textiles Technology syllabus, however, it can be used with students across a range of learning levels.
